When to scan:

  • Epigastric Pain
  • RUQ Pain
  • Unexplained nausea or vomiting
  • Unexplained chest pain
  • Sepsis or delirium in immunocompromised or elderly

Finding the gallbladder:

• Patient in left lateral decubitus
• Probe to head
• Start midline on liver edge, slide lateral
