  • Fractures requiring reduction (Colles, phalanges)
  • C arm unavailable

Where you put the probe:

Assess before and after reduction attempts to look for improved alignment

Assess in 2 planes (dorsal or volar and lateral aspects of distal radius)

*Ultrasound gel will make the fracture site slippery. Use towels in between scans.
